Meet Kristina, Therapist for Anxiety & Trauma in Racine, WI
Helping women and young adults move beyond self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and survival mode.
You’ve spent so much of your life holding everything together that you’re not even sure what it feels like to fully exhale anymore.
Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, emotionally exhausted, or carrying the quiet pressure to be “good enough” for everyone around you. You may look calm on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, reactive, or deeply self-critical.
Perhaps you learned early on to stay helpful, agreeable, or aware of everyone else’s emotions just to keep the peace. Now, those same patterns show up in your relationships, boundaries, self-esteem, and the way you speak to yourself.
I believe therapy should be more than just talking about your struggles. Through Brainspotting, mindfulness, and practical tools for emotional regulation, I help clients better understand their triggers, navigate overwhelm, and build a stronger, more grounded sense of self. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel calmer, more confident, and less controlled by anxiety, guilt, and self-doubt.
I know how much courage it can take to start this process.
If you’re here, chances are you’re exhausted from trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling underneath it all.
Maybe you overthink everything. Maybe you’re constantly worried about disappointing people, questioning yourself, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed while everyone around you assumes you’re “fine.”
I work with women, teens, and young adults who are tired of surviving this way.
What I love most about this work is helping people finally make sense of the patterns they’ve carried for years — the anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, emotional reactivity — and realizing they aren’t broken. So many of these patterns began as ways to survive difficult experiences, relationships, or environments.
When I first discovered Brainspotting, something immediately clicked for me. I became deeply passionate about helping people process emotions in a way that goes beyond just talking about them.
Therapy with me is active, honest, supportive, and deeply collaborative. I’ll help you better understand your triggers, build confidence in your voice and boundaries, and learn how to stop abandoning yourself just to keep the peace.
I want you to leave therapy feeling more connected to yourself, more emotionally steady, and more hopeful about the life and relationships you’re creating.
My clients come to me struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm — but they leave therapy feeling more confident in themselves, more secure in their relationships, and less controlled by fear, guilt, and overthinking.
A glimpse into my world…
I’m probably holding an iced coffee no matter what season it is — yes, even during a Wisconsin winter.
Outside of therapy, I feel most like myself when I’m outdoors. I love camping, swimming, being in nature, and spending time with my dog Honey, who has endless energy and keeps life interesting at all times.
I’m also completely obsessed with psychological thrillers and dramatic TV shows. If there’s a suspenseful series involved, there’s a very good chance I’ll finish the entire season in one weekend.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a floral designer, and creativity is still a huge part of who I am today.
I think that’s one of the reasons I love this work so much — I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them see themselves with more compassion and clarity.
The Approaches I Use to Support Deeper Healing
I believe healing is about more than just learning how to “manage” your emotions. It’s about understanding yourself differently, processing the experiences that shaped you, and building a life that feels less controlled by anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt.
Some of the approaches I incorporate into therapy include:
Brainspotting for trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and deeply rooted relational patterns
Mindfulness and grounding techniques to help regulate the nervous system during moments of stress
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to challenge self-critical thoughts and build healthier patterns
Boundary and communication work to help you advocate for yourself more confidently
Identity and self-esteem work focused on reconnecting with who you are underneath survival mode
Practical coping tools that support emotional regulation both inside and outside of session
Brainspotting training has been one of the most impactful parts of my professional journey and continues to deeply shape the way I support clients in the therapy room.
