Women's Group Therapy in Racine, WI
More than a book club. A supportive therapy group where women explore vulnerability, deepen self-understanding, and grow through meaningful connection.
You've Been “Good” Long Enough. Now Be Real.
Be nice. Don't disappoint anyone. Work harder. Be grateful. Don't ask for too much. Apologize, even when you've done nothing wrong.
Sound familiar?
You've spent years learning how to be the woman everyone else wants you to be. The dependable one. The successful one. The one who doesn't ask for too much or make anyone uncomfortable.
And you've gotten pretty damn good at it.
But underneath all that performing, pleasing, and pretending, there's a woman who's exhausted. A woman who's tired of questioning her worth, swallowing her feelings, and carrying shame for simply being human.
What if you stopped trying so hard to be good and started giving yourself permission to be real?
To have needs. To make mistakes. To speak up. To let yourself be seen without rehearsing every word or managing how everyone responds.
And what if you could practice all of that alongside other women who are just as ready to stop pretending?
Because you don't need another place to prove yourself.
You need a place where you can finally show up as yourself.
What If You Didn't Have to Earn Your Place in the Room?
Imagine walking into a room where no one needs you to have the answers. Where you don't have to impress anyone, prove your worth, or pretend you've figured everything out.
Where you can say, "I struggle with that too," and discover you're not the only one.
What if the very things you've been hiding are the things that help you connect?
What if hearing another woman's story helped you question the shame you've been carrying? What if sharing your own experiences reminded someone else that she's not alone?
And what if, little by little, you began to believe that you never had to earn your belonging in the first place?
You don't need another room where you're expected to have it all together. You need one where being human is enough.
Women's Group Therapy: Because Growth Happens in Connection
You can read all the self-help books, listen to every podcast, and spend years trying to understand why you are the way you are. But understanding your patterns and actually changing them? Two very different things.
Sometimes, the healing you're looking for happens when you stop doing it all alone.
The Stories We Share isn't your typical book club. It's a women's therapy group where meaningful books spark honest conversations, shared experiences help challenge shame, and vulnerability becomes something you practice—not just read about.
It's a space to drop the performance, show up imperfectly, and connect with women who are figuring things out, too.
Because being seen, heard, and accepted for who you really are can be powerful. And you deserve to experience that.
Our First Read: Daring Greatly by Brené Brown
What if everything you've been taught about vulnerability is wrong?
We've learned to hide our imperfections, push uncomfortable feelings aside, and strive to be perfect. But what if all that protecting ourselves is actually keeping us from the connection we crave?
In Daring Greatly, Brené Brown challenges the myth that vulnerability is weakness. She explores how shame, fear, and perfectionism keep us from showing up authentically in our relationships, parenting, work, and everyday lives.
Together, we'll explore:
The fear of vulnerability. Why being seen feels so uncomfortable and why we work so hard to avoid it.
Shame and perfectionism. How the pressure to be enough shapes our choices and relationships.
The armor we wear. How people-pleasing, overworking, and numbing protect us while keeping us disconnected.
Showing up authentically. Finding the courage to embrace imperfection, express our needs, and build meaningful relationships.
This isn't about becoming a better, more polished version of yourself.
It's about finding the courage to be who you already are—and discovering you don't have to do it alone.
Ready to Turn the Page? Here's What You Need to Know.
Eight weeks. Eight women or fewer. One space to get real, challenge old patterns, and build meaningful connections.
The Stories We Share is a women's therapy group where you'll journey through the experience with the same women from beginning to end. Together, we'll explore Daring Greatly through guided conversations, personal reflection, and therapeutic activities.
Facilitated by Jennifer Rossmann
I'm a therapist who works with women navigating perfectionism, people-pleasing, shame, and the complicated relationships we have with ourselves and others.
I believe some of our most meaningful growth happens when we feel safe enough to let our guard down and show up as we really are. I created The Stories We Share because I wanted women to have a space to do just that—together.
Frequently Asked Questions About Women's Group Therapy
-
We're not getting together just to discuss our favorite chapters.
The Stories We Share is a therapist-facilitated group that uses books as a starting point for deeper conversations about our lives, relationships, and emotional patterns. Through guided discussions, reflection exercises, and therapeutic activities, we'll explore how the ideas in Daring Greatly show up in our everyday experiences.
The goal isn't simply to understand the book. It's to better understand ourselves and practice connecting more authentically with others.

You wouldn't be the only one.
For women who have spent years worrying about being judged, rejected, or misunderstood, walking into a room of unfamiliar faces can feel especially vulnerable.
That's why we'll take time to build trust, establish group expectations, and create a supportive environment where everyone can participate at their own pace.
You don't need to be outgoing, confident, or comfortable with vulnerability to join.
-
Confidentiality is an important part of creating a supportive therapeutic environment. All participants will be asked to agree to group confidentiality expectations, including respecting the privacy of other members and not sharing their personal experiences outside the group.
As your facilitator, Jennifer follows professional confidentiality requirements and will explain the applicable exceptions before the group begins.
However, because group therapy includes other participants, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in the same way it can in individual therapy.
-
You may be able to use eligible HSA or FSA funds for qualifying group therapy services. Out-of-network reimbursement depends on your insurance plan and the clinical eligibility of the service. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
